Warm Welcome - ISECON 2019 Kolkata

Dear Colleague

Heart Rhythm abnormalities, so called Cardiac arrhythmias bear a major impact on the practice of all clinical specialties. A routine ECG often dreaded, frequently misunderstood or confounding, nonetheless intriguing, at times may be a source of anxiety and intellectual challenge for the physicians. During the last two decades, there has been a tremendous surge in human knowledge leading to a better understanding of the mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias and the means of dealing with them. A plethora of highly skilled, multidisciplinary scientific activity has led to the emergence of Cardiac Electrophysiology as a major subspecialty of Cardiology from an innocuous 12 lead surface ECG. Indian Society of Electrocardiology has contributed profoundly towards upgrading the understanding of cardiac arrhythmias among physicians in our country during last 40 years.

During the last 15 years diagnostic and therapeutic facilities of cardiac arrhythmias are rapidly emerging in Kolkata like any other major cities throughout the country. This will be the second National meeting of ECG and cardiac arrhythmias in the Eastern India. The spirit of Bengal with its cultural heritage will make you feel at home.

A comprehensive truly academic scientific program, with strong supports of highly reputed international faculty of Cardiac arrhythmologists, together with national cream of the cardiac arrhythmia crop has been designed. We look forward to your participation and support in this scientific and professional endeavour. ‘City of Joy’ will serve you all as a privileged Host during this grand scholastic fiesta on ECG.’
